This is how I almost got shot on a Paris street. There had
been a terrorist bombing at this site and the soldier was
very serious about guarding it. He is reaching for the gun
and aimed it at me and shouted at me in French. I did not
understand the foreign profanity but from his gestures I
gathered that he wanted me to destroy the film. I was brave
or stupid, I don't know which, but I still have the picture.
